
MHA Solutions is a member-owned organization. We exist only to provide services to the members of the Mississippi Hospital Association – allowing us to focus solely on the unique issues facing hospitals in today’s challenging business environment. Through our member-owned solutions, our cooperative ventures, our corporate partnerships, and our endorsed relationships, we strive to offer solutions that provide increasing value and savings to address those key issues hospital executives are most concerned about.
As we develop strategic goals and measure our impact with the members, we have focused on those most important issues – reimbursement, physician recruiting, workforce, and financial stability/survival.

The participation of MHA members in MHA Solutions programs generates non-dues revenue that helps to stabilize MHA dues and provides resources to support MHA’s mission.
In addition to participation as an MHA Corporate Sponsor, MHA Solutions also provides financial resources to MHA to defray overhead and Solutions staff provides human resource support for various programs and services that enhance the value of MHA membership, including Medicare 101, Medicare Hospital Revenue Forecaster, Medicare Impact Studies, MHA DATABANK, and the Statewide Discharge Data project with the Mississippi State Department of Health.
Education
Solutions is committed to providing educational opportunities to provide CFOs and other financial professionals an educational and networking forum through the MHA Reimbursement Summit Series.
Data
MHA Solutions provides the staff working with the Mississippi State Department of Health on the development of a statewide discharge data program. With the MHA Data Steering Committee, we have developed a request for proposal and coordinated the evaluation of those proposals and negotiated the contract with the COMPdata. The same Solutions staffer also manages the MHA DATABANK program.
RAC Activities
MHA Solutions staff have provided RAC preparation information through our RAC Ready blog. We also established the RAC Product Review Committee to evaluate RAC tracking softwear programs, developed two RAC presentations for MHA member hospitals to inform their staffs and boards about the potential impact of RAC, negotiated with the Georgia Hospital Association for access to their RAC Readiness Manual for our members, as well as ongoing monitoring of the RAC in other states.
MHA Corporate Sponsorship
In addition to our role as Corporate Sponsors (both Solutions and HPICo participate), we provide the staff to administer the program for MHA. $125,000 was contributed to MHA by the Corporate Sponsors for the 2009 Leadership Conference.
Society and Affiliated Group Sponsorships
MHA Solutions contributes to sponsorships of the various Society and Affiliated groups as well as special event sponsorships. HPICo is a frequent education sponsor for Risk Managers as well as the Patient Safety Coalition.
Datablue Salary Survey (OMNI)
MHA Solutions provides support for the administration of the semi-annual Datablue (OMNI) Salary Survey. Solutions does not receive a fee for this program in order to contain the cost of the survey for MHA members.
