Communication and lobbying weren’t the only ways to provide a voice on state and federal legislation. The MHAPAC continues to be an essential way to support elected officials who work to protect hospitals. 

MHA worked with membership to maintain a strong PAC. In 2008, MHAPAC raised $120,000 to support pro-health care candidates. 

The MHAPAC will continue to prepare for the future. In two years, Mississippi will elect a new governor, lieutenant governor and legislature. 

Many legislative challenges are still on the horizon, and we will be working with MHAPAC contributors to defend health care in Mississippi and in Washington, D.C. MHAPAC is an important part of maintaining a strong, unified voice. To find out more about MHAPAC, please visit www.mhapac.org.
